Wednesday - We arrived at Dulles airport at ten in the morning. We flew out Dulles to Dallas international where we had a two hour lay over then we left and flew to Guatemala city where we arrived at around nine thirty at night. We drove to our hotel and we ate dinner there.
Thursday - We woke up early the next morning and caught a flight to another air port. Then we had an hour drive up to Tikal national park we arrived there at around nine in the morning and we set up our tents. Then we left to explore the park ,we saw most of the major temples that day. We ate lunch in the grand plaza.
Friday - Some of the people woke up at around four in the morning and then went on a animal hike where they looked for monkeys and other animals (I didn’t go because I was sleeping). Then after they got back we went on another hike into the park where we saw some of the smaller temples. We left the park around one or two in the afternoon so we went to a pool that a hotel let us use if we bought a drink.
Saturday - Mr.Nations woke up most of the people who slept through the hike they missed the day before, we hiked down a path and went and saw a tree that was over three hundred feet tall. We had to get back before the vans arrived so we could pack up. When the vans arrived we took a ride to the hotel in Flores. We arrived there around noon so we went to a zoo like thing where we got to see monkeys and jaguars and other animals. After that we went swimming in the lake. We got back at around four and then we went back to our hotel and took showers. That night we went and ate dinner with the Scouts of Guatemala. It was more fun than most of us thought and it actually wasn't as hard to talk to them as we thought.
Sunday - We walked around Flores and went shopping and we ate lunch at a place near where we ate dinner with the Scouts. Right after lunch it started to rain and rain hard -- we had to walk back to the hotel when it was pouring rain and most of us got wet. When we got back to the hotel we packed up and left for the air port. We took a flight back to Guatemala international airport, then we took an hour-long van ride to Antigua where we arrive at like four or five we went to look around at shops for like 15 minuets and then we had to go back to eat. We ate at a restaurant with a window where we could see a volcano erupting. After that we went back to the hotel and went to sleep.
Monday - We first took a tour of a religious cloister, then we went shopping for the rest of the day.
Tuesday - We woke up early and got in our vans and drove back to Guatemala international airport where we took a plane to Miami airport where we had to go through customs. Most us made it onto the plane but four of us had to catch another plane and they arrived at a different airport.
So the trip ended up being a blast.
